Religious affiliation is essential in our believes, and of that the believe that every thing happened for reason as most of life’s events are orchestrated by God for reason. What happened after the fall of Saddam Hussein’s in 2003, as a new realities and challenges emerged in tribe in relation to restructuring the political system and creating new power-sharing agreements between Iran and USA.
Our tribe severed most after 2003 like most of the Iraqi people as we were forced to leave our houses and land, confiscate most of our belonging, killed, tortured, kidnaped and until today after 14 years still many of us still in the prison.
Furthermore, before 2003 we were no merchant, as we were not allowed to practice any trading, most of us are solders or government employee this why trading was not allowed.
However, besides faith, family is the second most important element to us. Family loyalty and obligations take precedence over loyalty and obligations to one’s personal needs. This why we helped each other.
The family structure is tight-knit and deep in our mind is one of the major determining factors of personal status, followed by individual character and achievement. A person’s honor and dignity come from their family.
In generally we are socially-oriented. however we are committed with our tribal affiliation with high degree of liability and discipline which hold us accountable toward our community despite bearing an enormous grievous burden on our shoulders.
